July 2018 - Thrombosis UK launch their Master’s Degree Research Grant

Thrombosis UK is delighted to launch the Thrombosis UK Master’s Degree Research Grant!

Dedicated to promoting research of thrombosis, the new Thrombosis UK Master’s Degree Research Grant is open to individuals currently or imminently about to be employed in a clinical post (nurse/pharmacist/doctor etc) by a recognised NHS provider and seeking to undertake a Masters degrees with research relevant and beneficial to thrombosis.

Thrombosis UK are delighted to be part of the International Society of thrombosis & Haemostasis congress in Dublin 18th – 20th July.

A global meeting promoting education, innovation and collaboration, Thrombosis UK was busy from the start, sharing updates on our work, providing information and awareness resources and collaborating with so many dedicated and passionate supporters working to increase understanding of thrombosis.

In April 2016 Jo was thrilled and honoured to be invited to become CEO of Thrombosis UK. A teacher for many years, Jo became involved in patient advocacy following her young daughter's diagnosis of a long-term condition.

Currently Jo sits as a Lay representative on NICE Indicators, West of England AHSN Patient Safety committee, and on research and project development groups.
